Jess Oatman is an artist living in Buena Vista, Colorado. She graduated with a degree in graphic design with an emphasis in illustration from Missouri State University. She loves spending time outdoors with her family while snowboarding and rafting but her true passion is found in surfing.

Because of all her years traveling and living on the road, much of her inspiration for what she paints comes from the landscapes that she's seen as well as that currently surround her. Her watercolor and acrylic work are done in a whimsical approach that are filled with bright and vibrant colors. Her work is also heavily inspired from her love of the water which is seen in many of her pieces. She hopes her paintings bring much happiness and joy to those who view them.

Some of her favorites: everything orange and pink, a good rum and coke, last minute road trips, cheeseburgers everyday, collecting sunshine, laughing til your stomach hurts, and taking lots of photos!
